Maybe my life is turning around...                                   Apr 24 10
I've made up my mind to just get my BS and take free accounting courses online at one of my state's community colleges. Then sit for the CPA exam. This will take me about a year, but hopefully I can find a job between now and then.

I might be moving to Philadelphia within the next few months. Got back in touch with my ex-boyfriend and he wants me to come stay with him to try and rekindle our old relationship. I told him we can take it slow and see what happens. I just need to get out of this hell hole city they call Sacramento. Maybe my life will get better if I move. He said he can hook me up with a job over there.

I quit applying for state jobs since I'm probably not on any lists anymore and just waiting to see if they send any notices in the mail. No point in wasting paper, ink, and stamps to find out I'm technically not qualified because I'm not within reach on the list. The list changes daily. Plus, I've been getting rejection letters in the mail stating most positions have at least 100 applicants (probably way more than that). The lists I'm on are super entry level positions and no test is required where it tests your abilities. You can login anytime and get a high score by lying. I will continue to take state, city, and county exams though and exams in surrounding counties I'm willing to drive to. I recently sat for Child Support Officer exam this week and hope to be within the first three ranks. The test was super easy. I also have another exam coming up next week and hope to score high on that one too.

I've also been applying to all the federal jobs I'm qualified for. I had my first phone interview this week for a position in Arkansas for a Program Technician. I'm 1 out of 15 candidates from all over the nation. I pretty much told the guy I can start ASAP and have no ties to bankrupt California. I'll live in my car for a month if I have to. It would be well worth it. I'm in the running for (just to name a few):
-Secretary with the IRS in Hawaii
-Tax Compliance Officer for the IRS
-Inventory Management Specialist with the VA in Louisiana
-Recreation Assistant with the Air Force in Maryland
-Contact Representative with Social Security
-Human Resources Assistant with the Army
-Consumer Safety Technician with the Dept of Agriculture in either Georgia or South Carolina

Speaking of car, my Service Engine light came on a few days ago and I've been following what the book says to try and fix it. If I can't fix it myself, then I'll get my uncle to take a look at it. The whole living in my car for a month may not work if I don't have a car anymore. My car is almost to the 100,000 mile mark and I have no idea how long it's going to last. I just hope it holds out for me until I can afford a new one.

I pray everyday!
