I would like to work for the government. Job security isn't what it used to be, but it's still better than private industry. And that loan repayment deal is looking pretty good right about now. I'm on the list for a few jobs and not one notice in the last month. I see job bulletins so I apply but not one word from the agencies I'm applying to. I don't know if the state went cheap and stopped sending out notices or what. I know they're on a hiring freeze so I wasn't hoping for too much of a bite. But I haven't gotten any...none, zip zero! I've sent in at least 200 applications. All I get are bites for Student Assistant as I've stated before. No real jobs. I'm going crazy!

I went and took the Transportation Security Screener exam yesterday. Pretty much english comprehension, spelling, sentence structure, and look at x-ray objects then figure out if they are inside a picture of a bag. I got home and there was a notice in my inbox saying I passed and a tentative job offer. I just have to pass the credit check, background check, physical, and training and I'm in. I hope I pass the credit check. Otherwise back to square one again. Shit, I need health insurance!

I have an exam tomorrow for Office Assistant with the State. Hopefully, I score high enough to get on the list the first time around. I can't afford to wait. I'm going to make sure I concentrate and take my time with this one. The test is so easy, but I must be doing something wrong because last time I believe I scored an 85%. I think you need at least 95% to be in the first three ranks.

Damn, life sucks and then you die. I'm so depressed right now.
